‘Quiet, steady’ bison mural presides over the Landing

“This creature is so large. He’s sort of standing in as something more than just a bison.”

Mural artist Tim Parsley has painted a bison mural on the side of a building at 126 W. Columbia St. in downtown Fort Wayne.

Parsley is the Chair of Art & Communication and Associate Professor of Studio Art at the University of Saint Francis.

His mural overlooks a historic cultural district the City of Fort Wayne is redeveloping, known as The Landing.

Artist Tim Parsley says his work seeks to "reveal and reinterpret a nostalgic anxiety about the past."
