Calling all fiber artists (and those looking for a new hobby)! Have you checked out Bad Cat Knit Goods on Broadway? 🧶🪡🐱
The fiber arts store opened its doors a few weeks ago and sells products for knitting, crochet, cross stitch, embroidery, and sashiko visible mending, with a focus on natural fibers. Customers will find yarn brands like Spincycle out of Washington and Polka Dot Sheep out of Montana, and all the tools, notions and kits you need to make your projects come to life, along with some fun, Bad Cat Knit Goods branded merchandise.
And they’re not just there to sell supplies. Bad Cat Knit Goods recently hosted their first Stitch Night, where people of different crafts and skill levels came together to work on their projects and meet fellow crafters.
Bad Cat Knit Goods is owned by Rachael and Gary, who recently moved from Utah to Fort Wayne. While Gary focuses on the branding and other business aspects, Rachael, a knitter of over 20 years, is there to share her expertise with customers.
They took over the space from Knitting on Broadway and completed a makeover of the shop prior to their opening. Bad Cat joins a long list of creative businesses filling the Broadway Corridor, which they describe as “wonderful,” adding that their new neighbors from businesses such as Hopscotch House (@hopscotchhousefw) and Aaron’s Fine Rug Gallery (@aarons_fine_rugs) have been very supportive.
