From October 24 to 26, Northrop students will put on “The Haunted Forest”, which is described as part haunted attraction, part historical reenactment, and part youth-led exploration of memory and identity.
The Hemphill Smith Art Foundation has completed a large-scale sculpture called “Amaryllis” in honor of its namesake, the late Jody Hemphill Smith, at the entrance of West Central.
"My experience thus far has been [that] people generally have a pretty open mind towards art, especially in the Midwest. I find people there are really kind of welcoming and really into community engagement-style projects."
