Pokagon State Park is beautiful in every season. Located in Angola, Indiana in the heart of Steuben County, this state park is a destination for many. Originally called Lake James State Park in 1925, it was later renamed as Pokagon State Park to acknowledge the Native American heritage in the region. The park is framed by both Lake James and Snow Lake that provide beautiful sunsets, boating, swimming, and fishing experiences. In the winter, guests can enjoy the toboggan run and in the summer, the beach is open to everyone. There is also a full saddle barn with pony rides. There is a large family-friendly inn and diner along with cabins built into the wooded areas that are available for rent. With endless acres to explore via their trails as well as wide open spaces to relax with friends and family, Pokagon State Park has it all. Make it a destination this summer as you explore unique dining, wineries, shopping, and more throughout Steuben County! #PlacesofNEI
