A common concern among creatives in Fort Wayne is that there are great things happening in the city, but not enough ways for creative people to connect and build on each other’s progress.
A new monthly meetup in Fort Wayne is aimed at providing just that.
Input Fort Wayne is proud to be the media partner for CreativeMornings Fort Wayne (FTW) that launches on Friday, January 11th.
On the second Friday of every month, anyone who calls themselves “creative” in the Summit City will be invited to a free breakfast lecture from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in downtown Fort Wayne, featuring a short talk by a local creative, a Q&A, and of course, free breakfast. Olivia Lehman
If you can’t attend in-person, Input will post a follow-up blog on our website and in our email newsletter each month with a link to the video presentation.
CreativeMornings Fort Wayne is a local chapter of a global breakfast lecture series that began in New York City in 2008 and has since spread to more than 170 cities around the world. It was brought to Fort Wayne by a team of local creatives led by resident, Olivia Lehman, with sponsorship from Artlink.
Lehman, who formerly worked on CreativeMornings Indianapolis, says her goal with the Fort Wayne event is not only to celebrate creative talent, but also to provide a way for creatives to advance the city.
“We believe in giving a damn,” Lehman says. “We believe in community, sharing stories, inspiring others, and being inspired. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is creative. So join us, and let’s be the change we wish to see.”
