While longtime Fort Wayne residents might know the Fort Wayne Ballet for its annual holiday performances of “The Nutcracker,” this tradition only scratches the surfaces of what they do.
Input Fort Wayne goes behind the scenes with Executive Director Jim Sparrow and other members of the company to unveil its rich cultural value—from its collaborations in China, to its regional performances, and its training opportunities that attract talent nationwide.
“What can be accomplished is more visibility for Fort Wayne,” Sparrow says. “We look at this as an opportunity to not only grow as a ballet company, but also to strengthen Fort Wayne as a place to be and a place that’s up-and-coming.”
