The digital age has created convenience and efficiency for so many things in our everyday lives, including healthcare.
In honor of
Telehealth Awareness Week, we wanted to share seven digital tools from Parkview Health that will help you improve your health and, of course, make your life a little easier.
1. MyChart
Available online or in a mobile app,
MyChart is an easy-to-use tool that allows you to take an active role in your healthcare journey. For starters, you get convenient and secure access to your medical records, and you can message your providers. It’s also your central hub to access all of Parkview’s digital health resources – you can log in to your MyChart account to find all the options listed below!
2. Online Scheduling
Parkview makes it easy to find and schedule an appointment. With convenient online scheduling
via the website or the MyChart app, you can book an appointment with your existing providers, or search for providers who are accepting new patients. You can also add yourself to the waitlist so you can be notified if an earlier appointment time becomes available.
3. Scheduled Video Visits
In addition to in-office visits, many of Parkview’s primary and specialty care providers offer the option of
Scheduled Video Visits for established patients. Just as you would with an in-person appointment, you’ll provide your insurance information and copay when you check in through the MyChart app.
4. Virtual Walk-In Clinic
If you can’t get in to see your regular provider, Parkview’s
Virtual Walk-In Clinic is a great option for non-emergent medical conditions such as cough, cold, flu, allergies, pink eye and more! These video visits are available 24/7 and in all 50 states, which is great if you’re traveling. Insurance is accepted; however, during extended service availability and overnight hours, periods of high volume, or when patients are located outside of Indiana or Ohio, visits are $49.
5. E-Visit
Yes, it’s possible to receive care without actually speaking to anyone. An E-Visit is an online questionnaire that guides you through questions about your symptoms. Once completed, the information is sent to a Parkview provider, who will review and respond with a treatment plan within one business day. Common symptoms that can be treated include back pain, cough, diarrhea, headache, heartburn, red eye and sinus problems. E-Visits can also be used for non-emergent issues that you might feel more comfortable addressing virtually, such as urinary problems, vaginal discharge, genital herpes and more. Details and a complete list of conditions are
available on Parkview’s website.
6. On My Way
When you need in-person care,
On My Way allows you to view estimated wait times and save your spot in line for Parkview’s walk-in clinics, labs and other services. This will help minimize your wait time upon arrival.
7. eCheck-In
Whether you have an in-person or video visit, eCheck-In allows you to confirm or update your information, answer questions about your symptoms, and submit your co-pay before your appointment. You can check in up to five days in advance, allowing you to complete all the necessary “paperwork” at your convenience.
